The Flag-wavers group "Torre dei Germani" was inspired by an historical performance in 1985 by the students and teachers of our secondary school. The play was about the marriage between Alessandro Sforza and Costanza da Varano which took place in 1444.

Our group was formed two years later in 1987 and it immediately received the support of the Local Authority.

The design of our costumes is based on those in use in XV century. They are red, white and black with the heraldic signs of a Rampant Lion carrying a Tower (our town's symbol), and of the Vair with Roses which represents Germani's Tower, one of the four ancient tower of Busnago.

Our flags are 175 cm tall and weigh nearly 1 kilogram. They are made from a spear and a cloth measuring 130x130 cm.

Our drums have a 36 cm diameter and are made of wood with a leather top.

Our brass trumpets, have just 3 valves

We also have an historical retinue consisting about 25 people dressed as medieval dignitaries.
